Industrial fabrics – 1260 °C

Ceramic fabrics are made of glyplicate fibres with the addition of organic fibres to allow spinning. The organic part is about 15% and burns out the first warm. 2mm fabrics are reinforced with a dratwy glass thread, while 3mm thick is nickel-chrome steel wire. They have excellent resistance to sudden temperature fluctuations. They are resistant to water, fats, oils, liquid metals and most acids. They are used in various industries as a classic insulating material.
