Ceramic modules – insulation for fireplaces

Ceramic modules are made from clay silicate mat. They are made of continuous, compressed mats- usually 25mm thick. Thermal resistance of ceramic modules is, depending on the type of fibres used: 1260°C, 1430°C. They are used as fibrous linings of furnaces, chimneys, ducts or boilers in the steel, metallurgical, ceramic, energy or foundry industries. The use of modules increases the efficiency of furnaces, prevents heat loss. Insulation in the form of modules is a very light line, it is easy and fast to install.

Properties:

  • resistance to continuous load up to 20°C. 12600C, 14300C;
  • good isolating properties;
  • high mechanical stability;
  • low annealing losses;
  • high chemical and thermal stability;
  • low specific weight and flexibility;
  • resistance to water, oils, fats, liquid metals and most acids;
  • good acoustic properties;
  • easy to process, uniform density, dimensional stability;
  • simple and quick installation with anchorage systems.
